This box's status is unknown. This is a box planted by Sleepy Whippet and adopted by Bookworm. The box has not been confirmed missing or active. 4/20/15
7/15/14 - Status unknown
When I began this series it was to hide boxes, in the Boring area, that are things you do when you are bored. However Boring itself has limited places to hide and since Boring is in Clackamas County this parks series was born.
There are 6 county parks in Clackamas County. They are Barton Park, Metzler Park, Feyrer Park, Eagle Fern Park, Hebb Park and Carver Park. I am hiding a box from this series in each of these parks. When you can show me that you have collected all six boxes I will let you stamp into the Clackamas County Park Super Bonus box that I will carry with me.
Directions: This box is in Barton Park.
From I-205 take exit 12 and head east onto hwy 212/224. Proceed 3.2 miles to the 212/224 junction. Take 224 and follow signs for Estacada. Proceed 6.4 miles on Hwy 224 to Baker's Ferry Road and turn right (Barton Grocery Store is there) The park is 0.2 miles on the left-hand side of the road.
There is a $3 fee per vehicle from Memorial Day to Labor Day (aproximately)
Clues:
Cross the seasonal stream and park in the lot on the right. From the mostly SW corner of the parking lot you will see a canine restriction sign. Head in a generally south direction (past the sign) on to the trail take the trail left. When the trail "T's" go right towards the water. Take 34 steps from where you shouldn't shoot and on the left under a log with a stone door lies Sunrise.
