*** Part of my Beer Series ***
Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 50 yards RT)
Recommended Ink: red
Status: alive
The Miller Brewing Company was founded in 1855 by Frederick Miller when he purchased the small Plank Road Brewery. The brewery's location in the Miller Valley in Milwaukee provided easy access to raw materials produced on nearby farms. You can visit this brewery and enjoy samples, then find this letterbox at nearby Calvary Cemetery, where Frederick Miller is buried.
Directions:
From I94 go north on 35th Street for 0.7 mile, then left on State Street for 0.5 mile to Miller Brewery. For the box, continue west on State Street about 1 mile, then go south on Hawley Rd for 0.7 mile, then east on Blue Mound Rd for 0.1 mile to Calvary Cemetery on the right. Drive through arch and park soon by first turn right.
Clues:
Walk left (south) up the hill towards Cramer stone about 10 steps to bush on left. At near corner is LB. Frederick Miller is buried somewhere in this cemetery.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
