*** Part of my Beer Series ***
Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 50 yards RT)
Status: alive
The Leinenkugel Brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls in May 1867 by Jacob Leinenkugel and John Miller. Leinenkugel's beer is mainly distributed in the Upper Midwest and are colloquially known as Leinies. I first heard about Leinies while reading one of the Prey books by John Sandford since that is the beer of choice for the main character, Lucas Davenport. You can take a tour of the brewery in Chippewa Falls at the Leinie Lodge and enjoy your own Leinies, then come find this letterbox at nearby Forest Hills Cemetery.
Directions:
From the Brewery at Elm and High streets, go south on High Street then east on Columbia Street to State Street. Turn left then immediately turn left into Forest Hills Cemetery and drive up left side. Park just before next intersection by Kell stone on right.
Clues:
Walk north (left) across clearing to birdhouse. LB is at back base of pole needing to be covered with stones or sticks.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 50 yards RT)
