This series was gifted to our dear friend Mort on his 90th birthday. We chose Long lake because of his long life! Each box commemorates an invention created during his lifetime. Happy hunting!

Box :1( scotch tape) Enter Long Lake state park. You will need a state enterance yearly sticker, or a daily pass to enter. Park at the south beach parking lot prior to the boat landing. Take the trail at the NE corner of the lot. Walk until
You see the last stone on a bridge over a small
Stream under its north east side you will find Scotch Tape invented in 1923. Stamp up and rehide well.

Box 2:( aeresol can) Pass the kids area and head left on a paved trail. See the steep paved trail heading up the hill? Go up this hill. No bikes allowed! Half way up the hill you will see a dead tree to your right. Walk 8 paces to the trees base and look inside the hole at the base. You've found the aeresol can carved by puddledunk. Invented in 1927! Be sure to rehide well stay on course on the trail.

Box3:( yo-yo) Walk up this steep hill and stay left along the forest edge. Walk until you see the large moss covered rock in front of the tri-trunked tree. Look to the rocks edge closest to the tree. You have found the yo-yo.

Box 4:( Penicillin) Now walk to the nearby women's outhouse. Head to the trail to the right. Look inside the split tree trunk. You have found PCN.

Box 5: (gum ball machine) Retirn to the back of the outhouse cement landing and walk 20 paces into the forest. Look to the right side of the rock base. You have found the gumball machine invented in 1928.

Box 6: ( television) walk along the forest edge back to the picnic area past the women's outhouse and box #4. Take the paved trail to your left down the hill to the south. Stop at the trail edge where you see the 7 multi trunked tree. Walk 10
Paces. Look in the center of the multi trunked tree under branches. You have found the television.

Box 7: (frisbee) See the large rock off the trail? It's actually 3! Look in its center. 12 paces past the 7 trunked tree. You've found the frisbee.

Box 8: ( canned beer) head down the hill. To your left, before the tree off the right, off the path on the right look for 2 triangle shaped rocks. Look underneath for some canned beer.

Box 9: (rollerblades) Pass the water fountain/bubbler to your right. The trail
Intersects making an *A* shape. Keep walking ahead. Walk to the sign off the trail. Walk 19 paces NE to the large moss covered rock. You have found the rollerblades.


Box 10: ( cassette tape) walk past the sign and garbage bag sign. Look
To your right for 2 largerocks look in between then for the cassette tape.

Box 11: ( barcode) walk across the parking lot hugging the creeek. See the rocks along the parking lot? Go to the 4th rock. You've found the bar code.

Box 12:( 90th) go the the 8th cement parking bumper from the corner of lot. Look at the base of the tree closest to lot. You've found morts 90th!
