Terrain Difficulty: Easy (moderate slope, 0.9 mile RT)
Status: alive
The Parade Of Lights is one of Canyon Lake's favorite holiday events, featuring boats elaborately decorated in holiday decor touring the lake. The event takes place each December and can be viewed from various locations on shore, including the dam, which is near the location of this box at James C. Curry Nature Center.
Directions:
From Hwy 306 go southwest on FM 2673 for 1.6 mile, right on Skyline Dr for 1.3 mile to James C. Curry Nature Center parking area on the right.
Clues:
Walk down trail to Y jct at start of loop and go right (counter-clockwise) past green bench on left, then down and up wood steps on the trail to green bench on right just after last wood step. Facing left from bench, go 19 steps to large flat rock behind and between two small cedar trees. LB is under it behind smaller rocks. Continue around loop back to start.
Hike length: 1 mile
