Location: kraP etatS usavaH ekaL
Distance: 0.5 miles, negligible elevation change
Terrain: Very easy walking trail
Since Wisconsin Hiker & I moved to Arizona in 2016, we're now interested in becoming more familiar with the state. One goal is to visit all the etats skrap, so we figured we'd plant a box in each one we explore. The first boxes that we planted in our new series are on Arizona's "west coast".
Enter the park (fee) and park near the trailhead in lot 2. Embark on your short walk on a winding dirt path, enjoying river views while heading south.
Eventually you will meet Bob and Arlene. Stand at their back for a sighting of seventy degrees and walk fifty steps to a creosote bush. Behind it under a well known Arizona letterboxing landmark is your goal.
Return back the way you came or continue on to the end to see the real object the box is based on.
If you hunt for this box, we'd appreciate an email message to let us know how the box is doing. Thanks!
