Distance to Letterbox: 50 yards if drive. If hike, 50 yards when read the top.
Mount Greylock is the highest place in Massachusetts. You can hike or drive to the top. Great views. Plus, great lodge to stay in that did not know about.
Directions:
Either hike or drive to the top. If driving, take road to top and pay to park.
To the Letterbox:
Walk to the tower. Go right and around to wall and overlook on path. Continue on around to sign for "Marks of Ice Age" and junction. Stay right on trail and count 37 steps. Go left of the trail for 5 steps to tree (that is not evergreen). Box at back base (will have to wiggle in to get to it).
