Our First Kiss
Back in 1978, I met the love of my life. We had been good friends for several months, then on July 4th, he took me to the fireworks at the Cotton Bowl in the State Fair of Texas. The fireworks were spectacular. As we headed home, he reached for my hand. My heart was fluttering. When we returned home, we walked to the park across from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas. We walked along the park trail and out in the open field, he turned around and kissed me. It was Our First Kiss. This letterbox is dedicated to my husband and Our First Kiss.
Directions to the Letterbox location:
Make your way to the Lake Highlands North Park. This is a fairly large park including Lake Highlands North Rec Center and Sprayground along with a swimming pool. There is a nice walking path (.7 miles) around a pond and near a playground. Our First Kiss was on this path. The letterbox is located in the kiddie playground at the intersection of Fieldcrest Drive and Fieldcrest Court. Park here.
Directions to the Letterbox:
Walk towards the kiddie playground. There is a cement sidewalk that goes completely around the playground. Now have a seat on the park bench that is closest to the swing set. Enjoy the kids playing. Look to the right and you will see a cement rectangular block with 2 plumbing plugs. Your letterbox is under the sidewalk at the rectangular block location. Our First Kiss
