Distance to Letterbox: 2.5 miles
This short hike at the boundry for Jasper and Banff parks is worth effort. Great lake, no crowds, and a letterbox.
Directions:
Going south on Hwy 93 from Jasper, about 13 kims south of the icefields, look for boundry marker on the right, and small parking area. park here.
To the Letterbox:
From the boundry marker, find trail leading left to meadow area. Circle left and find the old road bed. Get on it, and go left until you reach a pod area on left. At end of pond, find trail going uphill on right and follow it into the woods. When you emerge from the trees at the lake, go right along shore for 105 steps to 2 boulders. Go right off trail for 13 steps to small pine trees. Box at base under rock.
