Missing within the 1st month!
Stinky Lizard Letterbox
You can find the Stinky Lizard on the Tickle Creek Trail in Sandy, OR.
The Tickle Creek Trail is approximately 1.8 miles of wooded, scenic trail in the heart of Sandy. Tickle Creek Trail is just one leg of an ambitious and challenging vision that could someday become a series of connecting trails running through Clackamas and Multnomah counties.
The Trail offers dense woods, a rushing creek with spawning salmon, and the five wooden bridges. The surface is ideal for walkers, hikers and runners, as well as mountain bikes and baby strollers. Public restrooms are not yet included. Dogs are welcome on leash, but please clean up after them.
You can access the Tickle Creek trail from both the East (Dubarko & Sandy Heights) and West (362nd Ave. & Dubarko).
From the East end:
The trailhead starts just North of Sandy Heights on Dubarko.
Enter at the stinky dog poop entrance. Follow the trail through the woods. Cross over bridge #4. Keep going and, if it’s Spring the smell of skunk cabbage may be in the air.
Keep walking down the trail. On your right you’ll see a slingshot tree. You’ll start to notice fallen trees across Tickle Creek. The first, the largest, is a safe place to cross.
Don’t let people from the apartment community room see you through the trees.
After crossing, take a slight trail to the left and tucked in on the backside of the tree you’ll find Stinky Lizard.
Congratulations!
Please return the letterbox and its bagged contents so others can enjoy the search.
From the West end:
The trailhead starts between the first two houses on the South side of the street.
Dog poop bags available to pick up after a stinky pet. Cross Bridge #1 and Bridge #2. You’ll see a side path to the left, but stick to the main trail. Cross Bridge #3. Stay on the trail and don’t veer off onto private property. You can stop to rest at the bench or continue on your search. You’ll start to see downed trees across Tickle Creek. The third, the largest, is a safe place to cross.
