I am a full time traveler and got stuck with no place to go during the Coronavirus when a good friend offered her yard outside of Flagstaff for my RV. While hanging out there, we took numerous walks and bike rides to the forest. After introducing my friend to Letterboxing, we decided to put out a few boxes This is our first one.

In Flagstaff, follow the signs to the Grand Canyon. When on Highway 180 you will see a sign that says seven miles to Snowbowl Road. Continue past Snowbowl Road one mile and make a left turn onto Bader Road. Continue on Bader .8 of a mile to the last street and turn right on Suzette Lane. Travel .4 of a mile and turn left onto Chambers Road. Continue straight over the cattle guard and onto Rudd Tank Road .7 of a mile and past the No Outlet sign to where the pavement ends. Park in the paved turn around.

Clues to the box:
At the No camping, campfires, dumping sign, walk 172 steps at 90 degrees to a tree with 2 blaze scars. (A blaze scar is manmade and used to be used as a trail sign, about eye level.) From this tree, walk 52 steps at approximately 28 degrees to four downed logs. At the north end of the log furthest to the east, under a branch, you should find where the Coconino Forest elk hide.

Please watch your step as the ground is very uneven.

Please double bag the box contents as this area gets a lot of snow in the winter.

Happy boxing!
