Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 0.5 mile RT)
Status: alive
Launch Pad Brewery, opened in 2015, is a lively microbrewery specializing in offbeat craft beers served in a rocket-themed taproom. Come get your rocket fuel after finding this box at Morrison Nature Center at Star K Ranch, a hidden gem because of its quiet, well maintained trails and kid-friendly activities.
Directions:
For the brewery, go to 884 South Buckley Road. For the box, go north on S Buckley Rd for 0.3 mi & continue on S Airport Blvd for 3.4 miles to E Smith Rd. Go left for 0.5 mile then left on Laredo St for 0.2 mile to Morrison Nature Center at Star K Ranch.
Clues:
Walk to Nature Center and get map, then exit right on path to Wetland Loop Trail. Go on it to Y jct at post #3 and bear right past Observation Area to bench at post #7 on right. Walk left to group of three trees with LB at back base of far left tree under bark.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
