Terrain Difficulty: Easy (slight slope, 3.2 km RT)
Launched in June of 2015, Red Arrow Brewing is the culmination of friendships and unbridled, hop fueled desire. The building was originally the home of Arrow Custom Motorcycles and they have a courtyard patio and picnic area. So come enjoy their efforts after finding this box at Stoney Hill Park, which has a trail with spectacular views.
Directions:
For the brewery, go to 5255 Chaster Rd. For the letterbox, go east on Trunk Rd from Trans-Canada Hwy, left (north) on Lakes Rd, right on Herd Rd, left on Drummond Dr, right on Chisholm Trail, left on Genoa Bay Rd, then left on Stoney Hill Rd to parking for the trail on right.
Clues:
Walk on gravel trail by restrooms a short way to jct with a sign pointing right. Turn left instead, going clockwise on the trail through trees and up to the first viewpoint. Continue on the trail through more trees to the next viewpoint, which is not as open and has large boulders around a red Arbutus tree at edge of cliff. From the tree, walk away from the view 15 steps to a large boulder with evergreen trees behind it and two red Arbutus trees a few steps behind them. LB is at back base of the large Arbutus tree on the left under rocks & leaves.
