My 50th country.
Part of my Beer Series
Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 200 meters RT)
Delirium is the lead brand for Huyghe Brewery, which was founded in 1906 by Léon Huyghe in Melle, Belgium. In 1989, the Delirium brand was launched with Delirium Tremens, an 8.5% golden strong ale. The name comes from the term used to describe alcoholics who sometimes hallucinate during withdrawal. Since a nickname for this condition is "seeing pink elephants", that became the beer's logo. You can try one of their beers, along with over 2000 other ones, at Delirium Café after finding this box at Square du Petit Sablon.
Directions:
For the Café, go to Impasse de la Fidélité 4. For the letterbox, go to Square du Petit Sablon entrance on Rue de la Regence.
Clues:
Walk into the park and to the fountain, then right to statue of Guillaume le Taciturne. Go behind it and reach under the fence near left wooden post for the LB under a rock & leaves. Please be discreet.
FYI, I happened to be in Brussels during Belgian Beer Weekend and I highly recommend it!
