Fun box place in Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve on the orienteering course. Nice park for walking, fishing, picnics.
Directions:
From Hwy 249 and Cypresswood, take the feeder north heading out of town toward Louetta. Turn right on Chasewood Park Dr, then quick right into the Preserve. Wind around until first parking area on RIGHT SIDE (you will pass some on left). Park here.
To the Letterbox:
Walk to end of parking area closest to entry and on to Orienteering sign near the big lake ahead. From sign, go right along lake (to your left) and follow wide path past forks to the right, until you reach an uphill. Go up the incline and soon you will go down. Look right on downhill and see "V" pine tree on right about 5 yards off path. Circle round to back side of that pine and box will be at base under pine needles.
