Box is located in The Forest of Nisene Marks SP in Aptos. Great redwood tree park to walk or bike in.
Directions:
From Hwy 1, go north on State Park Dr. Turn right on Soquel Dr. Turn left on Aptos Creek Rd and go to Park entry Station. Pay fee then drive to last parking area and park.
To the Letterbox:
Walk on road farther into park and across Iron Bridge. Come to gate and go around and continue walking. Come to another gate, and Porter Family Picnic area (on right). Take the Porter Trail (going down to picnic area) and go down along railing until sharp turn to right. Leave path, and go around end of railing as if you were still going straight, then down about 10 steps to large stump at edge of cliff. Box is in top part of that stump under leaves (middle area).
