Part of my Beer Series
Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 600 yards RT)
At Acopon Brewing, English ales are their specialty, and they tap fresh casks every week. The word acopon means a restorative or cordial medicine, thus they decided to use an image of a Plague Doctor for their logo, so stop by for an ale to restore your mind, body and spirit after finding this box at nearby Ranch Park.
Directions:
For Acopon Brewing, go to 211 W. Mercer St. For the letterbox, go north on RR 12 then left on Event Center Dr across from Dripping Springs Elementary school. Immediately turn right into Ranch Park and drive around the left side of the Event Center, go straight then right to a playground behind the Event Center and park.
Clues:
Walk opposite the playground (north) onto a gravel path into the woods and stay on the main trail as it winds up and down. At a clearing on the left, just before a huge uprooted tree on the right, go left off trail 15 steps, going past a brush pile, to a lone juniper bush. LB is at back under a rock & needles.
