You will need to block off AT LEAST 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete this mission. The entire walk is situated in an off-leash area, so bring your canine companions!!!
From the 401, take 6 north. Turn right onto Kortright and immediately take another right into John Gamble Park (you’ll see the large YMCA kitty-corner across the highway). Go all the way to the end of the road and park at the end of the cul-de-sac.
Take the path a short distance (just over the water) and where the path branches off to the left, take the left onto a smaller path. Note the time. Many of the clues are marked by time. All time clues are based on a walking speed somewhere between a fast stroll and a brisk walk.
Walk along the path and over some small hills. Eventually you will reach an area with forest on the left and a small creek on your right. Ahead of you, on your right, you will see a large white building. Keep walking. You will reach a pond. Keep following the path to the left of the pond and stop when you reach a footbridge on the right. It will take you approx 15 minutes to reach this bridge.
Don’t cross the bridge. Instead, take the path ahead. (It will be wider than the path you were just on.) You’ll notice the chain link fence to your right will come to a point. Keep walking. The path will curve gently to the right and then to the left. The fence will turn from wire to wood and then back into wire. Shortly after this, you will see two bright blue posts on the left. It will take you approx 9 minutes to reach this point.
Turn left onto the path right before the blue posts. Walk up a small incline and keep walking forward. About 2 minutes after entering the forest, you will come to a Y in the path. Keep right.
4 minutes later you will come to a T in the path. There is a bench on the left. Turn right and walk between 85 (if you are like Ili) and 100 (if you are like Lil) paces. On the right there is a tree with a trunk much larger than those around it. The letterbox is hidden under branches and rocks at the base of the tree.
