First letterbox placed in Eagle Creek Park, one of the largest city parks in the United States.

***Alive & Well 2/20/05***

Enter Eagle Creek Park via the 56th St., South Gate entrance. There is an admission fee of $3 or $4 on weekends. The park is open from dawn to dusk daily. Follow the Eagle Creek Parkway north to Big Pine Drive. Turn right on Big Pine Drive and cross 62nd St., taking the first left, at the sign saying "Lilly Lake Trail Parking". Turn into the first parking space available to your left. Directly in front of the parking spaces, you will see an unmarked trailhead. This is where you begin.

Take the trail into the woods and walk until you come to a large tree that has fallen across the path and been sawed in half. Stand between the two halves and take a reading of 45 degrees. Follow that heading 30 paces along the trail and stop. You should see a large rock to the right of the path. Wedged between the rock and a log, you should find your treasure. Be sure to rehide well, wedging back in place with branches and covering with leaves.
