He retrieved the inkpad, Tina's new Letterboxing Book, and his own book, as well, from the backpack. Uncle Marvin helped Tina press the turtle stamp onto the inkpad, and then onto a page in her book. He also stamped a green turtle into his own book.

"Now, we'll make sure everyone knows we were here," said Uncle Marvin. This time, he pulled a red inkpad from his pack, along with the two rubber stamps they had brought along. He handed the butterfly stamp to Tina. She admired the delicate carving again. "Did you say I could carve my own rubber stamp, Uncle Marvin?"

"Sure, Butterfly. I'll show you how to learn about it on your computer when we get home." They each took a turn at stamping their mark into the book from the letterbox.

Tina put her butterfly at the top of the page, and Uncle Marvin stamped his top hat and rabbit onto the bottom. Then Uncle Marvin found a writing pen in his pack and wrote in the book, "Butterfly and The Magic Man were here." Then he wrote in the date.

"Now, we'll wrap everything back up the way we found it, and you can put the box back where it was," said Uncle Marvin. "Congratulations! You've successfully completed your first letterbox hunt!"

That evening, during her Mom's wonderful ham dinner, Tina had to blush a little when Uncle Marvin bragged about how quickly she had solved the letterbox mystery. "I couldn't have done it without her," he said. "She's a regular Sherlock Holmes when it comes to solving riddles!"
